System overview
The Synkzone system contains of Synkzone World, Synkzone Organization (one or mulitiple) and clients.
Synkzone World
The main responsibility for the world is to act as a certification authority, enabling organizations to start and run. It is also central for clients to navigate correctly to organizations and for keeping support communication and files from support requests. A world can host multiple organizations, including internal testing and production.
Synkzone Organization
The organization is the central point for information about users, zones and files. It coordinates the synchronization, storage and access to the organization data.
Components
An organization is made up of a combination of components: main (primary organization), Synkzone API (optional), Synkzone Web (optional) and Synkzone SCIM (optional). Depending on customer needs and workflow, the component types can be used independently of each other. To enable all functionality (including shared links) for a customer it's recommend to deploy Synkzone Web for each organization.
Synkzone Desktop
Synkzone provides desktop clients for access and usage of an organization. Synkzone Desktop, the desktop client, is currently available for:
- Windows, as .exe and .msi
- Mac, as .dmg
- Ubuntu, as AppImage
